A visibly nervous Belorussian-Russian YouTube blogger Vlad Bumaga known to millions of his young fans as A4 (bumaga means paper in Russian) is asking Vladimir Putin during the direct line program why he is slowing down YouTube, Vlad’s primary source of income.
This setup piece was for Putin to immediately react sarcastically, “and not only as a guest.” He meant that Bumaga has “untraditional sexual orientation”, i.e. he’s gay.
“P****graphy sites are watched all over the world. It's like ordering a cutlet,” Peskov smirked.
Putin expends considerable time and energy to constantly degrade and debase his subjects to appear the cleverest and the biggest deal, an absolute genius of geopolitics, economy and epidemiology, the king of the hill.
As my former boss once told me: “I can’t leave this company because I can’t find a man smarter than me.” After a lifelong of being called an idiot, he decided to pay people who would tell him that he’s the smartest person in Russia.
To further bully the young man, Peskov, Putin’s witty press secretary, introduced Vlad Bumaga as “an untraditional guest.”
Just as A4 about to ask his question, journalists, activists and random toadies around him raise up A4 papers with questions they wanna ask Putin in order to mock the blogger’s silly family name. Haha, your family name is Paper. Look behind you, we got PAPERS.
Bumaga was a hasty upgrade. He prudently stays out of politics and buys ideas for the video content from the FSB-approved content creators.
The honest answer would be that Putin doesn’t like the fact that he’s being humiliated and compared with every evil political leader of the past on YouTube day and night by bloggers, opposition politicians, and who-not and he doesn’t want anyone in Russia to see it.

It was Gref’s fault that he and his fake Western liberal ways let a traitor roam free in the hallways of the nation’s main loaner.

Russians have used YouTube to learn new professions, to play musical instruments, how to fix cars and electronic equipment, new languages. It’s a platform to listen to music and watch funny videos. Elderlies who can’t afford doctors learn about diseases and necessary medications.
Thugs are sensitive to being on the receiving end of humiliation. Putin is a light weight crook, picked from the bottom of the criminal hierarchy.
Everyone finds stuff to their liking to watch on YouTube and just because Putin decided that he doesn’t like criticism of his persona over war in Ukraine he pulled the plug on millions of hours of views for the whole nation.
Putin answered that YouTube’s parent company Google doesn’t comply with Russian laws and so it had to go.
Bumaga’s rise to fame was due to support of Putin’s gay friend, head of Sberbank, Herman Gref. He patronizes young gay bloggers whom he uses in promotional campaigns of his bank (not that he needs any , Sberbank is basically a monopoly being the only bank available to customers in the vast majority of regions of Russia).
In the end the whole country is playing along the charade in which they pretend they are all in on the artificially constructed reality to inflate the ego of this one little man without whose uplifted spirits, Russia would purportedly implode and cease to exist.
He had to take one for the team to ask the tsar the uncomfortable question about the slowing down of YouTube, which has blocked it for tens of millions of viewers in Russia. This was Putin’s personal idea and despite efforts of the comrades to talk him out of it, he only doubled down.
A new service has appeared on the classified ads website Avito. Russians who live abroad offer to watch and verbally describe videos on YouTube to those who live in Russia and can’t watch them any longer.
